MetaMask has promised an improved interface with greater usability, but what are the new features users can expect?

Popular in-browser wallet MetaMask is gearing up for a major redesign. The changes will bring a number of improvements to the existing wallet which exceeded 21 million monthly users in November.
MetaMask annouced the new features in a teaser Tweet on December 25. Parent company ConsenSys raised $65 million in funding this April, with some of that money now being reinvested into an enhanced user experience.
The new features of the hot wallet will allow users to:
View the value of their entire portfolio across all asset types and all accounts
Enjoy greater usability with a more intuitive and easy to grasp interface
Access an improved multi-network experience
While Binance Smart Chain users may welcome all of the above, the promised ‘multi-network experience’ may be the most eye-catching of the announced features. MetaMask currently supports the Ethereum network by default, but users must reconfigure the wallet to use MetaMask with Binance Smart Chain.
The exact details of the multi-network experience have yet to be confirmed, but could the latest version of the wallet support Binance Smart Chain as standard? For now, that question remains unanswered.
