What Are The Four Pi Network User Roles

Here we take a look at the four different roles available for Pi users.

Four Pi Network User Roles

The Pi Network has four ways for users to boost their Pi mining ability. Each role is voluntary, but each plays a crucial part in the Pi ecosystem.

Users are encouraged to join the ecosystem in whatever capacity possible while inviting friends to join them in the process. Working together is a key facet to improving any user’s Pi Network experience!

Here we will take a brief look at each role in the Pi Network.

The Four Pi Network Roles:

Pioneer (Miners): A user who downloaded the Pi mobile app and confirms that they are not a “robot” by mining Pi every day. Each Pioneer validates their account upon entry.

Contributors (Securers): Pioneers who contribute to the security of Pi Network by joining with other Pioneers to build a trust circle. Aggregated together, the contributors form a global trust security graph for Pi Network.

Nodes (Validators): Pioneers who run a Pi software node on their desktop or laptop computer. Nodes help to validate the consensus of the Pi Network and increase the decentralization of the network. Validators earn an extra Pi mining boost from running a node.

Ambassadors (Distributors): Pioneers who invite others to Pi Network and have them join their mining network. Ambassadors can mine at a higher rate for each person they successfully onboard to Pi Network.

What is Pi Network:

Pi Network is a mobile blockchain mining project on a mission to give everyone access to the cryptocurrency revolution. The project was founded by a team of Stanford University Ph.D. candidates who designed a mobile-friendly blockchain mining algorithm.

Pi Network has evolved over the years and has organized a hackathon, built a couple of working Pi blockchain apps, and is now in the final stages of transition to public mainnet.‍
