HotCross will reveal a new treat for the community on each day of its 12-days-of-Crossmas campaign.
Genesis NFTs Released
Cross-chain blockchain solutions protocol, HotCross, has unveiled the Genesis NFTs of its Cross Boss NFT collection. Users who took part in the sales have now claimed their cross bosses of various rarities.
As earlier reported by BSCNews, the Gen.0 NFTs were sold in two batches: a pre-sale to whitelisted users followed by a public sale. Pre-sale began at 14:00 UTC on December 24 while the public took their turn at 14:45 UTC the same day. The NFTs were priced at 400 HOTDOG tokens per piece, and each participating wallet could mint a max of 6 NFTs.
“Cross Bosses, Generation 0 are now revealed! Go to hotcross.link/NFT Click on Your Cross Bosses. Enjoy!”, came the platform’s announcement on December 25.
A total of 2,647 unique wallets got the NFTs. Each cross boss NFT has a rarity which can be checked here. The platform stated that the first use-case for Cross Bosses would be NFT staking which will be implemented in January 2022.
12 Days of Crossmas
In a related development, HotCross is running a series of teasers in the spirit of the holiday season. From December 25 – January 5, the platform will treat its community to 12 Days of Hot Crossmas. 5 days are done already and featured the following:
Day 1: Crossmas partnered with ApeSwap to host a giveaway meme campaign.
Day 2: the platform asked the community what new products or features they would love to see implemented. The development of a Multi-chain DEX and a game metaverse were some of the ideas proposed by the community.
Day 3: To whet the appetite of its community, HotCross in a post gave a preview of what to expect in 2022. Major takeaways from the post are that the platform will research decentralized autonomous organisations (DAO), Guilds, and GameFi, and may venture into them. The team also plans to create more use-cases for Cross Boss NFTs.
Day 4: On this day HotCross gave an update about Cross Bosses. It said that 2,634 unique wallets hold the 8,040 Cross Boss NFTs currently in circulation. All the NFTs were sold out in 24hrs.
Day 5: Inter-platform cooperation is key to success in DeFi. On Day 5, HotCross acknowledged the role of its partners:
“On the fifth day of Hot Crossmas we’d like to give a major shoutout to every single team that worked with us during 2021 and say Thank You!” HotCross wrote in a tweet on December 29, “We look forward to 2022 and beyond”, the platform added.
