Metaverse Sales Record
Fresh from a recent successful mint of its genesis wearable NFTs, PlayToEarn protocol Decentral Games has sold out a new batch of wearables in record time. The GameFi platform conducted the sales of 1,250 digital pieces of its ICE Poker NFTs, all of which were snapped up by buyers within 5 minutes. In contrast, the previous set of wearables sold out in 40 minutes.
This would be the platform’s 4th ICE Poker NFT mint and featured NFTs from the Crypto Drip collection. The NFTs were minted on Decentral’s marketplace. On sale were 250 units each of Drip Shades, Drip Bucket, Drip Jacket, Drip Drawers, and Drip Kicks which were offered for 0.25 wrapped ETH (WETH) per NFT.
“5x the amount of users on the site during the mint today than the amount of ICE Poker NFTs dropped. Sold out in 5 minutes”, Miles Anthony, CEO of Decentral Games, tweeted on December 20.
According to the CEO, as many as 6,250 people jostled to grab one of the limited edition ICE Poker NFTs. That is not surprising, as ICE Poker NFTs are traditionally priced higher in secondary markets. The floor price of the NFTs on the NFT marketplace – Opensea usually exceeds 0.8 ETH which is a reasonable markup from 0.25 WETH mint price.
Growing Through the Ranks
Since the launch of its decentralized virtual world in February 2020, Decentral Games has redefined the PlaytoEarn game-space. Choosing to carve a niche for itself in Casino metaverse games, Decentral Games has more than 5 decentralized casinos which, put together, have grossed over $100 million in transaction volume.
