Alpaca Finance invites the community to actively participate in the governance forum and help improve its ecosystem.
Alpaca’s Governance Forum Goes Live
Alpaca Finance has launched an innovation to shape its future in the industry. The leveraged yield farming platform on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) created a Governance Forum for users to discuss ideas and make suggestions on new changes.
The platform established the forum for community members to discuss and propose potential improvements to make Alpaca Finance a leading leveraged yield farming protocol. Alpaca invited users to start utilizing the forum via Twitter on February 9th.
“Our Governance Forum is now online! Feel free to start proposing and discussing ideas Forum.alpacafinance.org,” tweeted Alpaca. “We also have a Governance channel in Discord that has multi-language support: discord.gg/HmuCPahZWh.”
Governance gives the protocol more decentralization. With the service, community members can propose numerous implementations, including new features on Alpaca Finance, new partnerships, listing new farming and lending pools, and more. In addition, the Governance forum serves as the outlet where the proposal would be discussed by other community members, such that they have a say in Alpaca’s projects.
The Governance model is a unique initiative by the protocol, giving power to the community. Users can create proposals and post them in the forum for the Alpaca team and community members to review. However, the Alpaca team will review only proposals with the community’s highest traction, and the governance proposal is carried out in three phases.
The first phase, outlined above, is called the discussion phase, where users create proposals for community members to discuss. The other two phases are Request for Feedback (RFF)/Draft Alpaca Improvement Proposal (AIP) and Snapshot vote. Read the protocol’s Medium post on January 26th to learn the governance process.
