English Sport Offered Crypto Backed Route to Success
WAGMI United, a US consortium of cryptocurrency investors have outlined their interest in Bradford City, with the English football club confirming they had received an offer.
The group confirmed it was in the “advanced stages” of buying an English Football League club in a report by The Washington Post on December 16th. Confirmation later revealed who that English club is. Gary Vaynerchuk and a host of other well known names like TikTok personality Bryce Hall are reported to be a part of the consortium. The group also includes NBA side Philadelphia 76ers’ team president Daryl Morey.
“EFL has proven to be surprisingly progressive in our conversations with them,” Eben Smith, co-founder of the group, told Rick Maese of the Post, “and they’re excited by the outsized interest we hope to bring.”
The group had already underlined in their communication with The Washington Post, how they hoped to propel the English side to success. The aim to use NFTs as an organizational blueprint, a cornerstone through which a financially stable project could be upheld was clear.
There are clearly names there that suggest experience and talent when it comes to utilizing digital revenue to help an institution prosper. The hope for many of Bradford City’s plans will be to form a competitive squad from the prospective investment.
Generally, this news will also do much to empower the British contingent of cryptocurrency users who have done much to notify friends of the potential of crypto.
Suppose Gary Vee and Co. can positively affect Bradford City through utilizing digital assets. In that case, this is likely to herald important and positive headlines for the crypto community.
