Sorare Adds German Divisions
Sorare has signed an agreement to be the official partner of the top two German football divisions. The partnership will center around Non-fungible Token (NFTs) assets that will feature the likeness of top footballers from the German leagues in the Sorare NFT fantasy game based on Ethereum.
Along with NFTs of players, there will be iconic ‘Moments’ reproduced on NFTs in video format. Sorare will undoubtedly increase the scope of their reach, and the eyes who see their product. The German divisions are renowned for having the highest attendance across European football.
“Germany usually attracts the highest average attendance in football stadiums. It is football as it’s meant to be, where fans engage with their favourite players and club each weekend. We’re thrilled to allow Bundesliga fans in Germany and globally to come together online and to feel ownership of the sports they love,” says Nicolas Julia, CEO and co-founder of Sorare in the official press release from October 6th.
Sorare is one of the top NFT sports games on blockchain. Over the last year, the number of monthly active users increased by a factor of 34. Sorare already has over 200 clubs and the German leagues will add forty more.
The addition of the Bundesliga will continue to boost fan engagement in Sorar amongst the many German-speaking nations in Europe, and the world. Some fans have complained that Sorare will not be minting NFTs for the Second Division. Details are still developing. Fans can still dream to own the skills of players like Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland.
