SolSisters AMA Recap

Solana_Daily hosts SolSisters: #NFTs #SolSisters #RealSolSisters #SolanaDaily #SOLADVERTISEMENT

Solanda_Daily Admin: Hello and welcome, how are you today?

Lex: Hey thanks for taking the time today!

G: Hello to all! So happy to be here and to tell you all about SolSisters.

Solanda_Daily Admin: Happy to hear! Ready to start our AMA?

G: Ready.

Q1: Now to start the AMA, please have a quick introduction to the community. What is SolSisters all about?

G: SolSisters is a unique, allegorical collection of NFTs representing a new era of sustainability within the NFT world.

SolSisters are mythical characters of the future, returning to Earth in hopes to save Mother Nature and all her creations.

We use the word, “allegorical”, because it is defined as “containing hidden meaning”, which is a perfect way to describe the SolSisters art.

I come from a creative field, and have been trained to always be searching for a deeper meaning in all types of mediums. So when it came to developing this NFT collection, both my team and I felt we needed to collaborate with highly experienced, seasoned artists to ensure that our art was visually beautiful, detailed, and exceptionally customized, but our entire team also wanted to work closely alongside our artists, and actually participate in the creative process in order to develop art that incorporated symbolic significance, so that the visual choices align with our mission (and the SolSisters’ mission).

Just like how artists use exhibitions as tools to make political statements, or take a stance on global issues, the SolSisters collection holds the same intrinsic value: they’re pieces of art that illustrate a moment in time.

In other words, the value of the SolSisters collection is not only indicated in hours spent on artistic production, but also through the artistic choices that convey the current culture of this NFT space and of the world in total.

This whole project is really driven by our mission to advocate for energy-efficient solutions in the NFT space, and to build a community of people who are passionate, not only about improving the environment, but also empowering women in this environment.

Q2: Please share with us the background of the team behind this project. What are your past experiences?

G: There’re about 20 people working on the project globally, with a core team of 7.

I am leading the team, and prior to SolSisters, I had been working alongside Andrew, who has built up an incredible reputation in the industry. He’s the proud owner of a huge collection of NFTs and has pioneered multiple projects in the Crypto space. I’ve been working on his projects as a creative director for the most part, and we had been searching for a way to create something new together. His industry knowledge and experience combined with my creativity and bold ideas led us to begin on this SolSisters journey! Then we got Alex involved…

Lex: Thanks Greta – on my side I have a bit of a different background. I worked in the investment industry for about a decade, most recently in tech investment, so I have been helping out with project management and making sure we have a really well-thought-through long-term roadmap, which provides value to our holders.

Q3: As we all know, every project has a few stories behind the scenes; so what is the origin story of SolSisters?

G: Well since all of us had been involved in crypto and NFTs for quite some time already, we all knew we wanted to jump in somehow, but if we were gonna do it, it had to be big, and it had to inspire us all… And when we saw what was happening with Solana, that lightbulb went off.

We had been having conversations about the environmental impacts of crypto – the energy consumption and the super-high gas fees that are standard for Proof Of Work blockchains, like Bitcoin and Ethereum, it’s seriously alarming.

Solana is not only insanely fast, with much lower gas fees, but it’s better for the environment. Solana was just the beginning though — my imagination started running wild with this narrative of saving the world before it destroys us, and the idea of Mother Nature, a vulnerable entity that needed protecting. We wanted our brand’s story to be about sustainability through and through, but the purpose of highlighting Mother Nature was to set the feminist tone that we wanted to be maintained throughout.

Mother Nature is a common personification of rebirth, fertility, and women in total, and I saw this as an opportunity to pay homage to strong, brave women, and highlight essential feminist themes that could be reflected artistically and narratively through the sisterhood. We hope our badass women in our art catch the eyes of real badass women IRL, and that the story of the SolSisters will encourage more women to join this space!

Q4: What makes SolSisters different from other competitors? Kindly list down some key features.

Lex: I think first and foremost you have to start with the art.

We wanted our art to adhere to the standards of real-world art, in that we not only worked with top quality, seasoned artists with years of experience to produce beautiful, detailed, highly customized works, but we have collaborated closely with our artists to ensure all the visual choices align with our mission and included symbolic significance.

In the same way that artists use exhibitions as tools to make political statements, or take a stance on global issues, the SolSisters collection holds the same intrinsic value, and stands for more than just an aesthetic collectible with utility — they stand for a moment in time — demonstrating the intersection of creative placemaking and social + environmental justice for the NFT space. In other words, the value of the SolSisters collection is not only indicated in hours spent on artistic production, but also through the artistic choices that convey the current climate – both thermal and political – of the world.

As a female pfp project, we have been conscious of male gaze but have also wanted to make sure we had a bit of fun, hence the badass futuristic vibe. It’s also worth talking about our roadmap, most pfp projects get by through heavy marketing and some good art, but really people are now looking for a lot more.

Our team has seriously ambitious future plans in the works already. As you will have seen from our website, we weaved our vision into a cohesive story of powerful women coming together to regenerate a galaxy at the brink of catastrophe; where mother nature and all her bounties have been mistreated.

What do you do when your world has been destroyed?

Well, you have to rebuild. We kept this pretty high-level in our roadmap by referring to our “rebuild the world” initiative (phase 5). We would have forgiven you for thinking this is an easy vague target that no one will hold us to, like most projects out there. Not the case here.

What we can share right now is that SolSisters will be able to mint modular NFT pieces. These will comprise elements (think homes, vehicles, communities) that will not only be gorgeous art in their own right; they will fit together to build new planets. These NFTs will generate real cash value by conferring the majority of secondary royalties on to their holders. We are already working on the development of this and these new planets will provide the foundation for the SolSisters’ mission into the Metaverse. We will be sharing mockups with our discord in the next 48 hours. tldr – we have a super ambitious roadmap we are ALREADY executing on.

Q5: Let’s tell us more about the artists of SolSisters.

Lex: We LOVE our artists. And yes we’re working with multiple. Our art is a mix of some incredible generative NFTs where our artist – Noa – keeps reminding us that each trait is the level of a one of one. You can see a video on our website on just one clothing item being made – it’s crazy! Greta should talk more about the one:ones.

G: Yes! So we also work with Angie, a talented woman based in the Netherlands, who we connected with online. I found her art on a creative database-type website, and sent a cold email to see if she would be interested in joining our team, and it worked! 😆 Although we knew we would be asking her to step outside her creative boundaries to help develop these ultra-rare 1/1 goddesses, we were absolutely blown away at how she was able to achieve the symbolisms and details we wanted to incorporate. She truly understood our vision and mission as a team, and was vividly able to bring the SolSisters story to life.

Q6: Kindly share with us about partnerships & influencers that you are collaborating with.

G: So in terms of influencers and partners, although we can’t announce specific names right now,  we have been working on some crazy partnerships over the last 72 hours. We have wanted our marketing to be organic from the start though – we’re not interested in having 20k in a discord full of fake shillers. We have been pitching directly to the key influencers in the Solana and NFT space and have had some great feedback. Can’t wait to share a very big name this week. And if anyone is wondering, we are definitely open to collaborations but they need to tie with our vision and align with the brand.

Q7: Can you share your Roadmap in the next 6 months?

Lex: So I talked about the longer-term plan earlier, but it’s worth flagging the immediate next steps. so after mint next week we will be moving quickly to get on the key exchanges.

We have already nailed down digital eyes and magic eden who reached out to us, and then we will go on the other ones too. then we will be making a 10% of primary proceeds donation to a relevant climate/women empowerment cause.

Greta and I have been putting a lot of work into making sure these are relevant for our community and make the most impact. Half of ongoing royalties will then go to climate causes our community can vote on quarterly. we’re really excited about this aspect as it effectively gives our community a “vote for change”. We will also be releasing a list of “Sisters” to our community, those who hold both in their wallet will get a customised one v one.

But that’s really the classic stuff you will get from many projects, where we’re really excited about is the rebuild the world initiative I mentioned earlier.

SolSisters will be able to mint modular NFTs that fit together (like a puzzle) to build a new world. Each module will have an element on it like a house, vehicle, energy generator which comprises a new more sustainable community. This will allow us to experiment with some really interesting economics in the NFT space and is going to be the first of its kind.

Our developers are tearing their hair out but to pull off big plans you need to put in lots of work.

Q8: Where can we find out more about SolSisters on social media?

Lex: For now, you should join our lovely community at discord.gg/solsisters. Everything will be announced there first. Also make sure to follow @realsolsisters on Twitter – but be careful guys there’s already a copycat handle.

We have already had some lovely messages from people passionate about our vision. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us through our Twitter or discord – we value all the voices of our community and always want to hear from them!

Solanda_Daily Admin: With this, we are now at the end of our AMA session with SolSisters.

Time for wrapping up, any last words you would like to say to our community?

G: Yes! please reach out if you would like to connect with us directly or have any more questions. We are a mission-based, community-driven project and love to hear from others who are also aligned with our goals!

Solanda_Daily Admin: Thank you so much for spending time with our community & all the very best for SolSisters.
