Five slots out of the top ten trending coins on the Coingecko platform for the week of November 20 to 26 in Asia belong to five different Metaverse tokens. Popular play to earn blockchain game Axie infinity’s main utility token, $SLP, leads the way for the metaverse tokens by landing the top spot on Coingecko’s list. Coingecko’s official twitter account released the list on November 28, 2021.
“Looks like #metaverse tokens are slowly creeping up on Asia’s trending list! Coming in at Top 3️ are $SLP, $SHIB and $BNB, followed by $UFO and $BTC. Do you have any of these coins in your portfolio?” Coingecko announced on Twitter.
$SHIB, $BNB, $BTC, $CRO, and $ETH complete the list of the trending coins in Asia for the week. Meme coin Shiba Inu takes the second spot while cryptocurrency powerhouses Bitcoin and Ethereum land on the fifth and ninth spot respectively.
Coingecko’s trending coins list is a list of the hottest crypto tokens users in a particular area recently viewed then ranked by popularity.
