Safemoon Swap Is Live Once Again As Birthday Month Comes to a Close

Swapping was temporarily offline to enable the platform to be updated for cross-chain support and other features.

SafeMoon Swap Is Back

After being offline for scheduled updates, SafeMoon Swap is now live and operational again. According to earlier information released by SafeMoon, the update was to prepare SafeMoon Swap for upcoming features such as cross-chain integration.

SafeMoon announced the resumption of the swap function on March 31 through Twitter. SafeMoon Swap went offline on March 22 and was initially scheduled to resume services after two days. However, the time-out lasted for nine days as the team perhaps needed more time to fine-tune the system.

“The #SAFEMOON SWaP is live! Please ensure you’ve updated your  #SAFEMOONWALLET apps to the latest version… Thank you, #SAFEMOONARMY, and thank you to all our amazing partners,” SafeMoon announced in the tweet.

The day SafeMoon Swap was restored coincides with the last day of SafeMoon’s birthday month. In a video shared with the community to wrap up the Birthday month, SafeMoon gave hints of what to expect in the days ahead, including:

SafeMoon NFTs

A community competition for the design of the next New York billboard that will be displayed on the Times Square

A limited-edition of customized SafeMoon computers

Launch of mobile-compatible SafeMoon Crypto Exchange in 2022

Launch of SafeMoon Debit Card in the 2nd quarter of 2022

Some of the upcoming events in the video are not new. The team previously promised to launch its Debit Card and Crypto Exchange in 2021, a timeline they couldn’t meet up with. Though the video’s content seems exciting, the SafeMoon community would hope that the team delivers on its latest promises this time around.

What is SafeMoon:

SafeMoon is a new altcoin launched in March 2021. It runs on the BNB Chain and is a Decentralized Finance (DeFi) community-driven protocol. This protocol slightly differs from other protocols when a transaction takes place. Three functions will occur, reflection, liquidity pool (LP) acquisition, and burn. It also charges 10% fees to anyone that sells their tokens, and other owners get 5% of the fees. This is SafeMoon’s method of encouraging holders to hodl and disincentivizing sellers from selling.
