SafeMoon Gives Dates for Cross-Chain Swap Release

The cross-chain swap will initially support Ethereum ↔️ BNB Chain swaps, but will integrate more blockchains in the future.

A New Feature Is On The Way

SafeMoon users will soon be able to swap their crypto assets from one blockchain to another. The protocol announced that its cross-chain swap feature would go live on March 23.

Initially, SafeMoon’s cross-chain swap will support swaps between Ethereum and BNB Chain, while support for more networks will be added in the future. The SafeMoon team designed the cross-chain swap to provide additional utility for the SAFEMOON token:

“Introducing Cross-Chain Swap! Launching on March 23rd! SFM Token will be the middleware. 2% every trade: 1% Reflections, 0.5% Liquidity, 0.5% burned. Ethereum ➡ BSC, BSC ➡ Ethereum,” SafeMoon’s Education team announced in a tweet on March 6.

The launch of SafeMoon’s cross-chain swap is part of the platform’s month-long activities to celebrate its 1-yr anniversary. Earlier on, SafeMoon kicked off the celebrations by waiving for its community the payment processing fees for any crypto purchased using Moonpay from SafeMoon Wallet until March 19.

What’s coming next?

According to SafeMoon’s Global Head of Products, Ryan Arriaga, the team developed the cross-chain swap feature in response to the community’s request.

There are many other things that the community is yearning for, including the SafeMoon Crypto Exchange and SafeMoon Blockchain, promised by the team in the roadmap for the year 2021, but which have not been released to date.

There are more than 20 days left in SafeMoon’s birthday month, and the team may spring a surprise before it ends.

What is SafeMoon

SafeMoon launched in March 2021 and runs on the BNB Chain. It is a Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocol with a strong community behind it. Current statistics show that almost 3million people hold the protocol’s token. On Twitter, SafeMoon has over 1.4 million followers.

The SafeMoon token is deflationary. It differs slightly from other deflationary tokens because three functions happen with each transaction: reflection, liquidity pool (LP) acquisition, and burn.
