The flourishing ecosystem stalls in its RACA token burn promise, but continues growth across the ecosystem.
RACA Burns Short
The Radio Caca team arrived with Christmas announcements to its community, with updates that will affect several features of the protocol and with plenty of gifts for RACA holders.
The updates announced on December 23 in a Medium post gave three big updates:
Airdrop 700 million RACA among MPB holders
Burn 1.1 billion RACA tokens
Spend 1.1 billion RACA to Buy Metamon on BSC to be burned and minted on ETH
The funds and proactive approach to expansion from Radio Caca appear to come after the launch of a fee structure in its NFT marketplace. The 5% fees have led to 1.8 billion RACA tokens in just two weeks. The team hopes the windfall can propel a successful launch onto Ethereum.
The RACA team promised a total of 10 billion RACA burned for all of December just last week on Dec. 17. With a few days left in the month, they have confirmed only to have burned 7.5 billion RACA. It remains to be seen if they will burn the remaining tokens before the month finishes. The team claims to have earned a total of 49 billion RACA from its Metamon game.
A New DAO Rebrand
The RACA DAO recently received a $2 million USDC donation to help create a new DAO token, $USM, that failed and will lead to a different $JACUZZI token. The new token will arrive in January 2022.
The RACA team announce the change via Medium post on December 26The Jacuzzi token will be a rebrand of the DAO and adds new flavor to the RACA ecosystem. Metamon game users will get first attempts to get Jacuzzi tokens and the RACA team seem optimistic moving forward.
“All these achievements have been monumental and all of our projects have been wildly successful,” the Medium writes. “Within a few short months, the RACA DAO governance token ($RACA) has a daily trading volume that matches Axie Infinity ($AXS).”
The RACA ecosystem has been growing well within the greater USM metaverse, which continues with an impressive backing of Silicon Valley names. They also announced a decentralized exchange coming in February 2022.
From the DAO rebrand to the ETH expansion for Metamon, an exchange, and more, RACA has a ton on its plate. We’ll see how the RACA team follows through with these promises. So far, they still have about 4 days to complete the 10 billion RACA burn promise.
