Pi Network Extends Pi Hackathon Deadline

Pi Network has extended the hackathon submissions deadline for Pioneers building on its mobile mining blockchain.

Pi Hackathon commenced on January 9 and was scheduled to end on February 28. However, following requests from hackathon participants, the protocol has extended the deadline. According to the Pi Hackathon page, the event will end on March 6. Pi News, the number one media outlet for Pi Network, announced the extension to users on Twitter.

The protocol’s action now means that participants have more time to finalize their projects across the different themes and stand a chance to win $30,000 in prizes and additional crypto rewards.

Since the hackathon launch, the event has recorded 4490 participants looking to build their Decentralized Applications (dApps) and automatically tap into the network’s large user base. The initiative ensured that every Pioneer had the opportunity to become a developer without zero experience by accessing its simple API.

As the hackathon gradually ends, Pi Network is expected to reward the best participants while they get exposure to top investors as they build on the decentralized blockchain. Further, every participant is a winner, given that Pi Network will reward teams who accomplish certain milestones during the hackathon.

What is Pi Network:

Pi Network is a novel cryptocurrency and developer platform allowing mobile users to mine Pi coins without draining the battery. Pi’s blockchain secures economic transactions via a mobile meritocracy system and a full Web 3.0 experience where community developers can build decentralized applications (Dapps) for millions of users.
