PancakeSwap Seeks NFT Creators for New Marketplace

Creators can now begin applying for the marketplace with their own NFTs.

An Opportunity for NFT Creators

The most prominent decentralized application (dApp) on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), PancakeSwap’s Non-fungible Token (NFT) marketplace, is now accepting applications from NFT creators to list their collections under phase 2 of the marketplace.

In this phase of the NFT market, owners of the collections will be able to list their collections for holders to buy and trade on the marketplace. Creators would earn royalties on any trades on PancakeSwap and would also benefit from the visibility that the marketplace boasts of.

PancakeSwap highlighted a few guidelines through a Twitter post for the creators looking to apply:

Metadata on IPFS

Follow Opensea Metadata Standards

ERC721 Preferred

Apply AFTER finalizing metadata + contract

Even though, the launch date for these collections is not confirmed. They are slated for release in Q4 2021. However, realistically there is a chance that the timeline might not be adhered to as their highly anticipated NFT marketplace was due for a launch in September but that launch was delayed to the first week of October.
