PancakeSwap Postpones NFT Launch By More Than a Week

PancakeSwap has postponed the launch of its highly anticipated NFT collection and marketplace. However, the delay will not stop its first anniversary celebrations on Binance Smart Chain.

PancakeSwap Delays NFT Launch

PancakeSwap will no longer launch its Non-fungible Token (NFT) collections and marketplace on 22nd September. The number one Automated Market Maker (AMM) and yield farming protocol on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) has dropped an update on the new launch date.

The initial date was set to celebrate its first year in the industry, but it was postponed due to some in-house considerations. PancakeSwap dropped the update on Twitter concerning the postponement of the significant innovation while also explaining the NFT marketplace delay on Medium on September 20th.

“While we haven’t hit any significant roadblocks in the development, our early Sep. 22 launch target was a little too optimistic and announced a little early before development was in full swing,” the blog read. “Despite all our best efforts we haven’t been able to get us there quite on time. We appreciate that everyone is super excited, and we apologize for this short delay.”

PancakeSwap has set sights on launching the NFT market on 30th September to celebrate its first year on BSC. In addition, the NFT collection — PancakeSquad will be available for collection on 7th October, according to the publication

“We’ve decided to delay the Pancake Squad by just a few days to make sure our developers have time to respond to any changes that might be needed after the Marketplace,” PancakeSwap wrote concerning the NFT collection delay.

PancakeSwap Warns Users About Fake NFT Circulation

Following the protocol’s announcement of its highly anticipated NFT collection, fake PancakeSwap NFTs have surfaced on other marketplaces. However, PancakeSwap has warned its users to take note of the differences between PancakeSquad and other NFT collections.

“Seen a couple folks get burned by fake #PancakeSwap #NFTs on other marketplaces — some even on other blockchains. Don’t fall for it. Look for the verified mark,” the top BSC-based platform wrote on Twitter.

The tweet published on 20th September coincided alongside an image showcasing the difference between a fake and a real PancakeSwap NFT.

PancakeSwap apologized in its Medium post for the slight delay, encouraging users that 22nd September will still be a day to remember because there will be many events to celebrate its first year on BSC.

“We apologize for the slight delay — believe me, we’re as excited for the launch as you are! But don’t worry: we’ve still got some fun lined up for our birthday on September 22nd,” the blog disclosed.

Happy birthday in advance to PancakeSwap!
