PancakeSwap is set to add another feature to its protocol. The most used Decentralized Exchange (DEX) on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) plans to launch a Non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, alongside its own NFT collection on September 22nd.
The DEX aims to join the moving NFT train by launching its NFT collection and marketplace on BSC. PancakeSwap broke the news via Twitter on September 8th. As reported in the tweet, the NFT collection known as Pancake Squad will be exciting for users.
“We’re aiming to launch the first version of #PancakeSwap’s NFT marketplace and minting of the #PancakeSquad NFTs on September 22nd,” PancakeSwap wrote, announcing the date for its latest innovation. “All feed from the NFT marketplace and #PancakeSquad will be used to buyback & burn $CAKE. Not gonna lie, I am very excited. Are you?”
News for the NFT launch continues to drop. Last week, on 5th September, BSC.News reported the news of leaked Pancake Squad images on Twitter. According to the report, about five images of the NFT collection were leaked. A total of 10,000 NFTs will be created, and minting will begin on 22nd September. Also, users will need PancakeSwap’s $CAKE tokens to mint Pancake Squad NFTs.

PancakeSwap’s incoming NFT marketplace launch shows that the BSC-based protocol is interested in the growing NFT ecosystem.
