PancakeSwap Chefs AMA Inspires Q2
The flagship decentralized application (dApp) of BNB Chain, PancakeSwap, completed its V2 token migration and laid out the quarter two (Q2) roadmap to follow the migration.
The PancakeSwap team––and other protocols––have confirmed successful migration since the move was initiated on April 20. Projects across the BNB Chain have successfully migrated liquidity farms and staking pools, while some aspects of the PancakeSwap dApp are still in their final stages of migration.
The successful migration is a bullish sign for the upcoming roadmap into Q2. The PancakeSwap Chef’s held a comprehensive AMA session on their Discord on April 19 to answer myriad questions from the community about the forthcoming Q2 Roadmap details. And it sounds like the migration is just the beginning of a redesign in tokenomics.
“[T]here will be new CAKE minted going forward but we are doing tokenomics redesign now to lock more CAKE and to increase revenue to burn more CAKE,” wrote Chef Snowball. “We plan to release the new tokenomics design in early May, so stay tuned.”
The Pancake Chefs are hard at work on improving the most used exchange in all of crypto. With a token that still sits far off from its all-time high––and frankly has been in the doldrums for almost a year––many users are expecting a major upswing, but without a reduction in emissions, the price will need further support.
The Chefs make no promise of token price performance, but the team is promising changes to favorite products like the lottery, predictions, and fixed-term staking. Many of the same recurring community favorites are also still in the works for updates and continued improvement.
