Pacific Sunwear of California, LLC (or PacSun), the youth fashion clothing and retail brand, now (as of October 5, 2021) accepts cryptocurrencies. Partnering with BitPay’s payment services, PacSun reasons its customer base consists of “very tech-oriented” youths. So, the firm is highly inclined towards developing an “increasing desire towards cryptocurrency.” PacSun is now supporting 11 crypto-asset payments.
The PacSun-accepted crypto list includes bitcoin (BTC), bitcoin cash (BCH), ethereum (ETH), wrapped bitcoin (WBTC), dogecoin (DOGE), and litecoin (LTC). Apart from this, 5 U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins are also accepted by Pacsun. Catering to the Gen Z, PacSun intends to keep up with its target audiences’ crypto-lifestyle preferences.
PacSun intends to move forward taking fashion trends hand-in-hand with lifestyle trends. It should be noted here that PacSun had earlier partnered with ROBLOX metaverse for its PacSun Kids product line. PacSun focuses on the tastes and desires of Gen Z as it looks to “align with their lifestyles and resonate with them on a more personal level.”
