Orica will celebrate its wearable collection with a launch party where users will also have a chance at NFT rewards up to $800.

Orica Unveil Wearables After REFUGE Success

Orica Gallery is celebrating the success of its metaverse charity event—REFUGE, by launching a wearable collection. The Non-Fungible Token (NFT) project collaborated with some top influencers in partnership with Decentraland to create the REFUGE exhibition gallery. All proceeds from the artistic event were donated to support Ukraine’s cause due to the unrest from the war with Russia.

The event, which launched on March 31, took place in the Decentraland Metaverse, as published by BSC News on March 28. Three top creators created the art exhibition, which turned out to be a success after one month (March 31 – April 30). Bay Backner, Head of Curation at Orica, confirmed the success of the charity event with BSC News. According to the statement, participants contributed up to $28,000 to the Giving Block organized by the NFT platform.

“After an incredible month, REFUGE will close at the end of this week on 8.5.22. The Giving Block agreed to match every BNB donated, so our combined total so far is 71.54 BNB (approx 28000$),” Backner updated BSC News

The REFUGE event will close on May 8, and Orica will launch a wearable collection of the artworks designed by the featured artists: Katerina Marchenko, Mellowmann, Mangomann, Mangoscam, Mical Noelson, Crashblossom, and Aiira Mérida. Six designs would be launched and traded on the Decentraland metaverse. In addition, Backner wrote to BSC News that 100 t-shirts having each of the six designs would be available for users at a cheap rate.

“As the final REFUGE fundraising push, we’re releasing six limited edition t-shirts of the REFUGE artworks. There are just 100 of each of the six designs, available  at $25 each. The T-shirts can be work and traded in the Decentraland metaverse. They are minted on Polygon chain and are approved by the Decentraland DAO,” Backner disclosed.

Again, just like the art gallery exhibition, Orica will add all the t-shirt sales to the Giving Block Ukraine fund. The NFT protocol will launch the wearable collection on Thursday, May 5, from 19:00 UTC to 21:00 UTC. Decentraland uploaded the event details HERE

REFUGE Wearable Launch Party

Orica will host a 3-day launch party to celebrate the launch of its wearable collection. However, according to Backner’s exclusive write-up to BSC News, users also stand a chance to win NFT artwork worth hundreds of dollars by making the $25 donations. The fundraising party will start on May 5 and end on May 8.

“A special ORIBOX will be dropped in the gallery containing REFUGE T-shirts and big art prizes. Each $25 donation gives visitors the chance to win NFT artwork worth over 800$, kindly donated by leading crypto artists – Spain’s Mangoscam and Germany’s Mellowmann. The artwork is minted on BNB Chain,” the post read.
