OpenOcean Outlines May Innovation, including Polkstarer IDO Alongside Solana and Loopring Aggregation

The month of May was packed with significant innovations and news coming into and from OpenOcean. The protocol has grown to become a multichain platform after being solely on BSC.

OpenOcean Brings Big Innovations

Both Loopring ETH Layer2 & Solana aggregation is now complete, making OpenOcean the first Dex aggregator to achieve this. These two great moves on OpenOcean bring users a powerful one-stop trading platform to swap whatever networks and DEXes they favor. The platform aims to expand its aggregation with accelerated growth, and their May report explores how.

The May report establishes OpenOcean as one of the leading aggregators on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Apart from this, it has gone further to expand its aggregation with a full chain aggregator that pulls liquidity from mainstream public chains, reduces slippage, and increases liquidity for trades.  This expansion included the introduction of more decentralized exchanges (DEX) on its protocol. 

OpenOcean Aggregates Loopring ETH Layer 2 and Solana

OpenOcean has completed the integration of ETH Layer 2 protocol Loopring and Solana into its Dex platform. This will improve the speed of transactions with higher throughput and more scalability on Solana. Zero gas fees and self-custody security on Ethereum Layer 2 platform Loopring will be inviting for new users.

The OpenOcean team followed through on the request of fans with this change. The team ran a poll on Twitter beginning May 24 that sought the public’s opinion. Solana network earned more than 32% of the 44k total votes received. The team also collects a monthly survey on their Telegram for improvements. 

As a celebration of the successful aggregation of Loopring, the team is hosting a giveaway event where 200 lucky users will win and share 13,200 $LRC in the Lucky Draw. 

Multichain Plus More Chains Coming

OpenOcean now supports five public chains, including Solana, Tron, BSC, Ethereum, and Ontology.

Following the recent support and aggregation of two more Layer 2 chains, Solana and Loopring ETH, that bring the total number of supported chains to 5. In addition, the team has further hinted on the next chains to be supported, including the highly scaled protocol of Heco, Polygon, and Polkadot.

OpenOcean now supports 28 DEXes, including four from Solana. Through OpenOcean, you can now swap mainstream Solana tokens, including:

SOL – Solana 

RAY – RaydiumProtocol 

SRM – ProjectSerum 

OXY – Oxygen_protocol 

FIDA – Bonfida 

The report shows the team maintains 190k active wallet addresses, 90k + community members, and 138k Twitter followers. 

Improved UI/UX and New Integrations

These recent moves have been accompanied by improved UI/UX providing more explicit step-by-step instructions for users while swapping and a newly enhanced wallet interface to help users recognize more easily.

The platform has announced multi-language support. The team announced the inclusion of Japanese, Spanish, Russian & Chinese to the list of supported languages. Integration of PancakeSwap V2CafeSwap, and Nerve.Finance has also been completed. Lower slippage on Pancake V2 and higher liquidity, offering users more token options after the other two DEXes.

Polkastarter IDO Whitelisting Open and Close – DaoMaker SHO

On May 24th, OpenOcean completed its Strong Hand Offering (SHO) on Daomaker. The total raised successfully from all rounds amounted to $3.38 million.

Users should watch out for the upcoming IDO on the famous Polkadot platform: Polkastarter. A recent AMA event from June 4th with Polkastarter stated in this blogpost that the IDO date was coming “soon.”
