The Atlantic Version upgrades focus on accuracy and speed above all else.
OpenOcean Debuts New Atlantic Version
The new Atlantic Version on OpenOcean is now live and purports to bring upgraded speed and better aggregation results for its decentralized exchange (DEX). The Atlantic version coincided with a makeover to the user interface and experience, a revamp to their entirely open-sourced code, among other small changes.
The OpenOcean team announced a series of tweets this past week on Oct.19. The new Atlantic upgrade went through various tests to ensure the speed and accuracy of results on the decentralized exchange’s aggregator. Accuracy still reigns king, with the Atlantic version performing better in tests over popular exchanges like 1inch and Paraswap.
“Testing on 4,587 swaps has shown that OpenOcean Atlantic delivers better returns in most cases compared to other leading DEX aggregators on BSC. OpenOcean Atlantic is better in 60% of the cases according to the testing results,” the blog post from Oct. 19th reads.

The Atlantic upgrades were deployed across all the major blockchains supported by OpenOcean, including Binance Smart Chain. The upgrade looks to have the best in mind for crypto users by providing the best exchange price possible. The team has provided an entirely new and improved protocol by implementing an intelligent algorithm to return top results with low fees and slippage requirements.
The new user interface is sleek and clean; the front page is simplistic. Overall the darker colors provide an easier tone on the eyes. The team from OpenOcean also announced several research developments, like derivatives, to help improve the trading experience for users.
