Exploring Ookeenga
Ookeenga, a real time strategy and tower defense PlayandEarn protocol on the BNB Chain, is set to launch their first mini game along with their NFT generation event.
In a twitter thread that dates back to the fourth of May, the Ookeenga team has been slowly giving out details related to their mini game event. A total prize pool of $10,000 was set aside by Ookeenga for the three season mini game event that will have a grand tournament season at the end. BSC News caught up with the team to give more insights on the mini game release.
“This minigame is a sneak peek at the later Land feature of OKG. The most exciting feature in the game is the OKG world feature,” Tao Tuan Linh, CEO of Cros Game Studios, the creators of Ookeenga, said while talking to BSC News. “[You] can build their village and own the benefits from their land. You can also explore the vast and exciting OKG world, either conquering the mine or joining hunting activities to get more resources. With this competitive mechanism between players, you can only imagine how much fun you can have in the OKG world unless you join the game!”
The main point of the mini game is to give players the chance to familiarize themselves with the world of Ookeenga, get to see their characters in 3D, and start earning even before the actual game is released. NFT owners can participate directly in the mini game as each NFT they have has an accompanying ID number associated with it. However, free users must get whitelisted in order to participate.
“The original idea of building this minigame is [that] we want to showcase users’ heroes after they participated in the INO event without waiting for the game to launch officially,” Cros Games Studio’s CEO continued saying. “One of our strengths is the ability for players to enjoy 3D visuals. Our goal is to provide our players with the greatest possible experience. Furthermore, we wish to use our manufacturing capabilities to increase community trust in our initiative.“
The mini game will be released on May 12 along with the genesis hero reveal, while the first season of the event will be from May 16 to 23. The second and third seasons will be from May 23 to June 2 and June 5 to 12 respectively, while the grand tournament is slated to begin on June 15 and end on June 19.
