1. Please introduce yourself and the team behind OneRare.

I’m Supreet Raju, co-founder of OneRare. I’m an Experience Designer & UI/UX Specialist, and head the complete Creative strategy for our Foodverse.

My co-founder is Gaurav, an engineer & marketrer, having worked across the world for Technology startups. He was the head for the Developer Program at Dash, and now building the tech & marketing outreach for OneRare.

We are a team of 18, working across the design, tech & marketing for our Foodverse. We are working from across the globe with a remote team.

So my next question is

2. What is OneRare? And what is the unique thing you are contributing?

OneRare is the world’s first food metaverse, aka, Foodverse. We are celebrating Food from across the world in our gamified universe, where players can farm, trade and claim unique Dishes, as well as interact with some wonderful mini-games in our playground.

Our uniqueness comes from our Food theme & being the first project to onboard the global F&B industry to the blockchain. We are first-to-market in this concept.

3. Can you tell us about the vision you guys have with this project?

I can break down our vision in four parts :

Be the first Project to bring Food to Web3 : We are the first Food Metaverse on the blockchain, working on one of the most popular topics around the world.

Create an engaging Gameplay for All : Current market offerings are very male-oriented, or technical. With OneRare, we are building a product that attracts male & female audiences, old gamers and first timers.

Create a genuine Use-Case for NFTs : With the growing popularity of NFTs, people are also beginning to see utility in them. OneRare offers a natural use-case for Food NFTs, where users can swap them for real meals and deals worldwide.

Action against Hunger : Work consciously towards the cause of world hunger through our collaborations & community initiatives.

That’s actually really neat I have never thought of NFT use cases where they can be exchanged for food

4. Can you tell us more about the NFTs you guys offer?

Our Ingredients & Dishes are both going to be NFTs – we have given a design twist for users to know what they have. The ingredients will all be circular artworks, and our dishes will be square. We are not using any computer-generated graphics, our NFTs are being created by artists from all across the world. We also want our NFTs to be more than artworks. They can be used by players in various aspects of the Foodverse, including playing our mini-games.

Alongside, OneRare will also look to bridge the quality experience in the Food space for blockchain users, create a constructive loop of Chefs coming to Web3 and tokenizing their Dishes as NFTs, and users being allowed to swap these NFTs for real meals. When the digital passion finds real-world use-case, the blockchain industry will thrive.

Oh neat so real life chefs could theoretically come here and sell their recipes as NFTs?

In another way, yes. At OneRare, a Recipe is essentially a set of Ingredients that are needed for making a Dish. We don’t expect chefs to reveal their secrets 🙂

5. What kind of features do you offer in your metaverse?

Our Foodverse has four areas – The Farm, which is play-to-earn and you can grow Ingredients. The Farmer’s Market, where Farmers can sell their harvested crops, as well as, exotic ingredients. The Kitchen, which is the soul of OneRare, and you can read recipes and claim Dish NFTs. And lastly, our Playground where you can play mini games using ORARE tokens and your NFTs

It’s not just one game, but rather an interactive experience – where players can engage in many ways, all around the theme of Food.

And food is also relatable and fun for everyone no matter where you are in the world

6. Where did you get the inspiration for a cooking themed metaverse?

We came up with the idea of OneRare in January 2021.The primary gap we saw in the market was that while NFTs and gaming was on the rise, projects were very niche and limiting in their themes and ideas.

The current barrier to entry is too high in crypto, and being an educator myself who teaches design, I felt that the industry needs to become more open and friendly to first-time users, women and people who are interested in crypto.

So we felt we can cover this gap by engaging in a simple world of Food, where everyone can identify something they like to eat, and connect their food tastes to blockchain 🙂

And 100% agreed, the barrier to entry on some of the projects coming out is way to high

7. What is the ORARE token? What use cases does it hold?

OneRare will run on the $ORARE token.

Our token is a high-utility token that can be used across our foodverse. You can speed up your farming, trade at the farmer’s market, play mini games at the playground, as well as, be a part of the governance.

Our token is community-focused, so you can own it as well as earn it in our Play-to-earn farm and playground. Our Foodverse will run entirely on the ORARE token.

We have a supply of 100 million tokens in all. 15% is allocated to private sale, and we will be doing our IDO this week for 1.25%. We are very conscious of our responsibility to build this and so our Team tokens will only begin to unlock after 6 months.

8. What do you have in store for Q1 of 2022?

We have some very exciting times ahead for OneRare this week, with our IDO, followed by our Mainnet launch in December.

For Q1 2022, we have plans to grow our Foodverse and once enough recipes have been minted, we will launch our Playground with the Mini-Games. Our first mini games are Foodtrucks wars and Hippo Full, the first ever NFT slot machine in Web3.

We will also introduce Desserts & the OneRare Cocktails Bar, alongside more collaborations with Chefs & Restaurants across the world.

We are heading to our Multi-IDO this week : Enjinstarter (25 November) and TrustPad (27 November), along with an NFTO on Genesis Shards (24 November). So a very exciting week ahead for us !

We are also going to be making a formal announcement about the first 3 Celebrity Chefs who are joining our Foodverse this week
