Niftys Launches Official Warner Bros Space Jam ‘A New Legacy’ NFTs

Special Edition NFTs dropped from the new movie, and fans can collect their favorites to form a fun, formidable team

Tune-Verse meets Crypto-Verse

Welcome to the Jam – the Space Jam.  The creators of the Loony Tunes-based sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy teamed with Niftys.com to release 91,000 Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), in the largest drop of NFTs from a film ever. 

The hottest new movie from out of this world, Space Jam: A New Legacy NFTs drew increased exposure thanks to their iconic subject material. The launch came four days ahead of the film’s release on July 16.

Jeff Marsilio, CEO and co-founder of Nifty’s, expressed excitement in a press release on July 12: “We are thrilled to introduce Nifty’s to the world with exciting content from Warner Bros. and to launch our community as an inviting home base for new and experienced explorers of the NFT universe.” 

Nifty’s which is backed by Mark Cuban, combined with Warner Bros. to tackle this once-in-a-generation drop. 

Sold-Out Fast

The popularity of the franchise caused the first iterations of the release to sell out fast. The release teased registered Niftys users with a free NFT as well as a second free NFT for a social media post hyping the movie. 

Users could also purchase an NFT for $2.99 from a limited supply. Awards were randomized with all rarities possible to be purchased.

The NFT collection includes the film’s feature star, NBA player Lebron James. The film, which transports Lebron into the Loony Tune universe, will also bring all your favorites from the Tune Squad into the crypto-verse. Users can collect eight of the classic cartoon characters, including Bugs Bunny, Speedy Gonzalez, Road Runner, and more.  

Like nearly all NFT releases, several tiers are available based on rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. 

Users can freely buy, sell, and trade their Space Jam NFTs beginning July 26.

New Territory for Production Company

Warner Bros. was excited to venture to new territory as well. The entertainment company has branched out into many different ventures

The movie is available in theaters in the United States and on HBO Max for 31 days from release.
