Mainnet Version Goes Live
After months of testing by the community, Mines of Dalarnia launched its PlayToEarn (P2E) game to the GameFi space. The free-to-play blockchain game is now on the mainnet.
Mines of Dalarnia is a game downloadable on PC, built on BNB Chain. The game allows users to interact with Non-fungible Tokens (NFT) and the protocol’s native $DAR token. The GameFi protocol engaged users with tweets before its mainnet launch on April 26 and unveiled the game to the public at 18:00 UTC:
“The wait is finally over! Now you can play the Mainnet version of the Mines of Dalarnia. Head to our website: minesofdalarnia.com. We hope you are excited as we are to explore the Dalarnian world!” the GameFi platform wrote on Twitter.
The gameplay in the mainnet launch is similar to the testnet version. The game features players who control their avatars to mine mining plots (LAND) and landowners who own LAND. LANDs are obtained in land sale events using $DAR tokens. Each LAND has different attributes like Depth, Aspects (Biomes), Resources, Power Levels, and Terrains.
Players mine LAND to obtain resources needed to improve their gear, including Terraforming Capsules required by landowners to preserve their plots. Mines of Dalarnia Targets More Growth
The game is currently available to only PC users. However, the GameFi platform will launch a mobile application soon. According to its Medium publication on April 26, plans are already in place to launch a marketplace plus the mobile version in 2022 to expand its P2E environment.
“While today’s launch is an important milestone, it is only the beginning of the journey! Our development team is committed to continuously improving and expanding the Dalarnian world for years to come. Our next steps for 2022 include a fully-featured marketplace which will expand P2E opportunities, as well as a mobile version of the companion app in Q3,” the protocol disclosed.
