Terra Luna community gets comprehensive review of ecosystem updates from last month of the year.
Luna Classic Ecosystem Grows into 2023
2022 was epic beyond comparison for the Terra Luna community. The community has spent the better part of the year recovering, quietly continuing to build out the ecosystem.
Terraform Labs Head of Communications Zion Schum detailed the many examples of growth and marketing across the ecosystem in a comprehensive December Community Update on Medium from January 18.
“2022 was a turbulent year for almost everyone within the crypto community,” writes Schum. “Still, as many take time off and wait patiently for the bear market to come to a close, LUNAtics remain focused on building the next generation of Web3 products and services.”
The updates summarized by Schum included, but were not limited, to the following:
- Ecosystem Updates: dozens of updates from DEXes to DAOs to Non-Fungible Token (NFT) projects and more.
- Media Features: several examples of where Terra Luna made the news, from various court hearings concerning Terraform Labs, media appearances by core team members on podcasts, and Luna Classic tutorials.

With 2023 ahead, the community is now starting to flourish with the best of Decentralized Finance (DeFi). From Decentralized Exchanges (DEX) to Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO), the ecosystem of Luna Classic is becoming more robust and voluminous by the day.
What Is Terra Classic (LUNC):
Terra is a blockchain protocol that attempts to use fiat-pegged stablecoins to power price-stable global payment systems. According to its white paper, Terra combines the price stability and wide adoption of fiat currencies with the censorship resistance of Bitcoin (BTC) and offers fast and affordable settlements. The original native token — LUNA has also been renamed to LUNA Classic (LUNC). Moreover, all network stablecoins (UST, KRT, EUT) have been renamed to Terra Classic stablecoins (USTC, KRTC, EUTC). There are no Terra stablecoins on the new chain.
