Hamstercoin has announced a major airdrop giveaway following a tweet by Jack Dorsey that seemed to endorse the memecoin.

HAM Token Rallies off Jack Dorsey’s Tweet

In a tweet from the founder of Twitter on June 30th, Jack Dorsey responded to a tweet by Neeraj K. Agrawal of the Coin Center Think Tank. Agrawal was himself quoting a bizarre claim by Republican politician Ben Sherman that the Dogecoin meme token is a threat to Ethereum. 

As Agrawal said, “Rep Sherman says the biggest threat to ethereum is dogecoin”, to which Dorsey responded, “HamsterCoin >”, seeming to indicate that HamsterCoin is the even greater threat. At time of press the tweet from Dorsey has had 1,200 retweets, 1,500 replies and 5,400 likes.

The tweet by Dorsey seems to have been intended as a joke, since there is nothing to indicate that the Twitter CEO has ever heard of HamsterCoin or knows that a real life Hamster token really exists. Despite this fact, the Hamster token is doing its utmost to capitalize on the free promotion.
