Hacken Team Creates Stablecoin Based on Developer Time

The new stablecoin will be on offer to corporate actors and will give stable access to developers’ time and energy.

New Stablecoin from Hacken

The Hacken security blockchain protocol introduced a new stablecoin, $ETD (Engineering Team Day), pegged to the work of cyber security professionals. The ETD coin will be available for corporations and will seek to solve the stability issue with other stablecoins.

The novel stablecoin announcement from Hacken was first given in late April, and the product was launched on May 6, according to the latest tweets. The ETD will be an exclusive business-to-business utility for the Hacken token HAI that will be used to pay for smart contract audits. Hacken sees other stablecoins as more volatile than they appear and wish to peg the ETD coin to time itself.

“ETD performs the basic functions of a stablecoin for companies for whom cybersecurity is a key day-to-day operation while acting as an investment for every Web 3.0 project,” writes the Hacken blog from April 21.

The ETD is a limited––and premium–– offer of just 1000 ETDs, valued at around 4000 USDT. The stablecoin offer will be a risk-free investment that will also have the profit-making feature for corporations to take advantage of Hacken’s cybersecurity offerings.

“ETD performs the key function of a stablecoin – preserving value. At the same time, it is a more secure investment option for corporate clients since it is backed by the most valuable asset that is not subject to volatility – time,” adds the Hacken announcement.

The Hacken CEO divulged in a May 4 tweet that “sufficient liquidity” will be needed from PancakeSwap, but no further details were given. PancakeSwap is the largest decentralized exchange on BNB Chain, and has the most daily users across all chains.
