The Play-To-Earn (P2E) fishing game MetaFish is launching on OxBull and Hoppy-Meme, with the sale period lasting two days, ending on Oct 16th. Those not whitelisted on either OxBull or Hoppy-Meme must wait to purchase FISH tokens from PancakeSwap. The PancakeSwap sale begins on Oct 16th at 16.30 UTC.
MetaFish is a metaverse-based Non-fungible Token (NFT) game based on Play Together. Gameplay centers around fishing experiences which allow players to fish multiple locations, use different types of rods, and sell caught fish on the market.
“Fishermen can create their own team using the MetaFish Referral System, and the more fishermen they recruit, the more fishing rewards they receive,” explains MetaFish in their documentation. The company goes on to add, “The completed MetaFish ecosystem provides investors with a sustainable passive income stream simply by playing, collecting high-tier fishing rods to sell on the fish market and earning more rewards through a multi-level marketing system.”
Play-to-earn gaming has been hugely popular over the course of 2021 with a number of breakthrough projects, including Axie Infinity and CryptoBlades. The devil in the details for MetaFish and its players will be the referral system and how dependent earnings are on gaming instead of making referrals.
