FTX Looks to Expand NFT Marketplace to With Dolphin Collaboration

Dolphin Entertainment is set to lead the creative process, with a number of specialized subsidiaries to help spearhead the efforts.

FTX Plunges into NFT Waters

FTX has announced they are entering the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) trade by partnering with Dolphin Entertainment for a large-scale marketplace featuring popular sports and entertainment brands.

As one of the world’s busiest crypto derivatives exchanges in the world, FTX will support the creativity behind Dolphin Entertainment with top-level crypto exchange services and technical prowess. According to a press release from August 2, film, television, music, gaming, eSports, culinary, lifestyle, and charity industries are the target brands for the venture. Dolphin Entertain provides some of the highest quality content around and has a big vision with FTX ahead.

“We view our marketplace experiences as the future of fandom for internationally-recognized brands and franchises in sports and entertainment. To achieve this vision, we have searched for the absolute best technology partner,” said Emmy-nominated CEO Dolphin Entertainment Bill O’Dowd. “We are unbelievably excited to partner with Sam [Bankman-Fried], Brett [Harrison], Avi [Dabir] and the entire team at FTX, who we consider the market leader for customer experience in the crypto and blockchain worlds.”

Combined Power

The combined skill of FTX and Dolphin is bound to make waves in the NFT industry. Both companies are extraordinary at what they do.

Dolphin is the only company to own more than one PR firm and all three are known worldwide for producing feature films and award-winning digital series. FTX boasts a positive reputation in crypto and is a leader in derivatives exchanges and other instruments that afford users an aesthetic trading experience.

“Dolphin’s reach and scale across all of pop culture are very impressive to us. We are excited to build marketplaces with Dolphin, both because of their ability to access content and IP, but also because they are leaders in public relations and influencer marketing for every major vertical of entertainment. With that said, there are several items on the horizon that we can’t wait to launch together,” said Brett Harrison, President of FTX.US.

It will be exciting to see some of the brand names that come from the new marketplace. FTX has recently inked partnerships with major names like Tom Brady, Major League Baseball, and the League of Legends Championship Series.

Dolphin Entertainment is responsible for popular Nickelodeon shows like Zoey 101 and Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
