A total of 2500 DeRace Opie collection NFTs have been sold following their launch on OpenSea. According to a DeRace tweet, the sale lasted a mere 30 minutes. The sale period could potentially have been even shorter had extreme demand not crashed OpenSea, the biggest NFT marketplace in the world.
A further 2500 Opie collection NFTs will be made available for sale at a later date. The NFT avatars also provide access to an exclusive social club, with each NFT acting as a membership card.
“Owning a one-of-a-kind Opie Collection avatar opens the door to the secret DeRace society and unlocks additional benefits,” explained DeRace in a blog post on October 17th.
Now that the OpenSea sale has been completed, users will have to wait to find out how the other 2500 Opie NFTs can be secured. DeRace has promised to reveal the details of this future sale in a few weeks.
The Opies are available on the Ethereum chain. These are no cheap horses—the highest prices are going for over a few hundred ETH. No minimum stake was announced, so the return could be pretty high for the lucky few who won an NFT.
Our hope at BSC News is to see some $DERC staking on Binance Smart Chain, as right now, the tokens con only be bought and held on BSC.
