Report on Digital Assets & More
Crypto.com has collaborated with Economist Impact, the think tank of the media outlet, The Economist, to release an annual crypto report. The report explores various aspects of the expanding cryptoverse like Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), adoption of digital assets, and the growth of the Metaverse, among others. Few of these aspects have been surveyed, as highlighted below:
65% of executives believe that CBDCs could replace physical currency in their country; this metric stood at 56% last year.
41% of institutional & corporate investors think that regulations are the largest obstacle to mass adoption of digital assets, compared to 32% last year.
74% of executives consider Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to be an emerging asset class that their organization would plan to hold/trade now or in the future.
Nearly 87% of the respondents feel a need for an institutional-only digital assets exchange platform akin to the Bank of International Settlements (BIS) for traditional assets.
