The blockchain has had more professional sporting teams join their platform, further increasing the popularity of the Socios fan tokens.
Chiliz Adds Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo Racing
Chiliz, the blockchain on which Socios and its fan tokens are built, continues to rapidly expand with a number of sports franchises and stars signing up to take part in its fan engagement platform. The fan engagement platform and their fan tokens are a way for fans to show their support of the teams they love, and also confer certain privileges and benefits to holders.
The concept has now found acceptance in multiple major sports franchises including soccer teams, to racing, the UFC and more. The most recent teams to join the Chiliz phenomenon are F1 racing teams Aston Martin Cognizant and Alfa Romeo Racing. Chiliz has also signed racing talent across the other side of the pond in the US with NASCAR’s Roush Fenway Racing also joining the platform.
The increasing pace at which Socios is growing is something it wants the wider blockchain sector to know about. In a recent press release Chiliz CEO Alex Dreyfus said:
“Last week, in a single day, we announced five partnerships – from three different sports, across three continents – and now we’ve continued that momentum convincingly. In the next few years a generation of passive fans will shift into active fans. That transition will take place through transactional fan engagement on our platform.”
In another recent announcement Chiliz revealed that $CITY, the fan token for Manchester City, will be listed on the Chiliz exchange from May 25th. The listing sees the $CITY token placed in a trading pair with CHZ, the native token of Chiliz.
Socios and Chiliz have been top performers in this specialized token market, and have continued to add impressive names to their list of partnerships. The successful signed deals are indicators that their community is filled with influential figures that believe in the concept.
The Chiliz and Socios team have been incredibly adept at signing major talent to their platform. This is critical, because ultimately the success of Chiliz will rest upon its ability to provide access to sports teams and stars that hold the most interest for the public. If there is a continued support from the sports industry, the platform has a bright future ahead of it.
