BunnyPark Executes Major Farm Reduction, Announces Big Changes

In a major change for BunnyPark users, the protocol has announced a large reduction of liquidity farms.

BunnyPark Changes

BunnyPark is making major changes. This week the company announced an upgrade that will counter-intuitively offer fewer options for users. The concept sharply contrasts the bulk of upgrades which typically offer greater choice.

The so-called ‘reduction upgrade’ will mean that all farm rewards other than BP-BNB pairs will be removed.

“BunnyPark is undergoing a major production reduction upgrade. First, we plan to remove all Farm rewards except BP-BNB within 48 hours. At the same time, the CropPool will only retain BP, CAKE, and Bounty Plan,” said BunnyPark in a tweet on October 3rd. They went on to add, “Several changes will be announced in the next few days.”

In a follow-up announcement, BunnyPark confirmed that as of October 5th the remaining farms are closed. The protocol also informed users that a new OnePage development plan will be ready for release in the very near future.

New Features

While BunnyPark farm rewards are cutting the fat, the project continues to roll out new features elsewhere. In a recent blog, the company announced a new buyback and token burn feature.

From October 1st, the BunnyPark admins will buyback and burn between $500,000 to $1million BunnyPark (BP) tokens every single week. Each burn will occur at a random time with confirmation of the burn, and its details revealed on Friday of each week.

It appears as though both the farm reduction policy and the buy and burn promotion have been geared towards benefitting BP token holders.  The early signs have been positive. Since Friday, October 1st, the price of the $BP token has climbed from $0.75 to $0.87, according to CoinMarketCap. This is still a way away from the project’s all-time high of $6.71 recorded in May
