BNB Chain’s roadmap for the year will prioritize faster transactions and enhanced support for decentralized applications (dApps), the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume said.

In its 2022 technical roadmap released Tuesday, BNB Chain said it is working to offer end users more capacity with less congestion while enabling faster transactions.
Binance also plans to increase the number of mainnet validators from 21 to 41, in an attempt to offer incentives for validators to innovate, the company said.
A number of dApps, including META Apes and Metaverse World, will go live on BNB Application Sidechain, as Binance Chain looks to branch out to tap the metaverse and GameFi trends.
In February, Binance rebranded its two blockchains as one BNB Chain, in a push toward the metaverse and decentralized finance, an ecosystem the company calls “MetaFi.”
