BNB Chain has reiterated that the arrival of Chainlink VRF v2 will have a broad and effective impact on projects and developers.

In a Twitter thread on March 10, BNB Chain underlined the fact that projects and their teams will now have the chance to strike the right balance between security and performance with Chainlink VRF v2:

“Chainlink VRF v2 allows developers to configure block confirmation times ranging from a 3-block minimum to a 200-block maximum for randomness requests, enabling teams to strike their desired balance between security and performance,” BNB Chain explained.

For projects that are quickly expanding and having to serve the needs of a growing user base, BNB Chain was reassuring. This growing user base expects fairness in their experience of products and features, whether this is through guarantees of generated randomness or otherwise. Projects will be glad to know that Chainlink is making this broadly more cost-effective.

“VRF v2 allows for up to 100 smart contract addresses to fund randomness requests from a single subscription balance, further saving on gas costs and simplifying the management of funds for multiple contracts requiring a verifiable RNG,” BNB Chain went on to state in another tweet.

The past year has already seen Chainlink Data Feeds enjoy an exponential rise of almost 6,000% from February 2021 their team confirmed via Twitter.

What is Chainlink?

Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts with a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations for enabling feature-rich applications. Chainlink currently secures tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, insurance, gaming, and other major industries, and offers global enterprises and leading data providers a universal gateway to all blockchains.
