Wrestling PlayToEarn NFTs

After the successful release, Blockchain Brawlers, a PlayToEarn (P2E), non-fungible token (NFT) game, has already seen over $430 million in volume.

Founded by WAX Blockchain, the P2E game saw active players earn an average of over 5,000 BRWL per day. They also announced, via press release on April 11, the newest series of auction offerings of ‘legendary 1-of-1 NFT brawlers’. The pre-sale saw NFT auctions on WAX and Binance raise just under $3 million, with some NFTs reaching $25,000-$35,000 apiece. This marks a four-figure percentile increase in value from the pre-launch sale prices in February of this year.

“We’re delighted to see how well the community has received Blockchain Brawlers. An immense amount of hard work has been poured into creating a sustainable and engaging game that truly stands out among the crowd,” says Michael Rubinelli, WAX’s new dedicated gaming studio head in the PR. “Combined with the inherent user-friendliness and novel features of the WAX blockchain, we’re confident that Blockchain Brawlers will continue to redefine gaming in this sector.”

Blockchain Wrestling

Within Blockchain Brawlers, players can compete in pro-style wrestling matches where they are rewarded with the BRWL token. From there, players can choose to redeem their tokens in exchange for better equipment, including wrestling rings and weapons, which will give them an advantage in potentially earning more BRWL. There’s even a unique limited-edition collection of NFTs featuring pro wrestling legend “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

Adding to the game’s unique infrastructure is its cross-platform functionality. Blockchain Brawlers is the first game to have interoperability between two chains, as the BNB chain is connected with WAX via an NFT bridge. It doesn’t stop there, as a WAX-ETH bridge also exists, allowing users to have more options.

Street Fighter, NASCAR, Atari, Funko, Hot Wheels, and Power Rangers are some of the other global iconic brands to operate on the WAX blockchain. WAX also performed the largest known NFT airdrop in history to 10 million accounts.
