The gaming project’s letter comes after a season rewards redistribution created controversey around the game’s skill gems.
A Letter to the Community
Binemon, a PlayToEarn blockchain gaming project built on BNB Chain, released a clarification letter addressed to their community.
Skill gems seem to be the focus of the letter drafted by the Binemon team. The letter comes a few days after the PlayToEarn project announced a rewards redistribution for its nineteenth season was announced to the community. The team shared the letter to its community through its Twitter account on March 1.
“If you have any concern or opinion about Reward, Skill Gem, PVP, PVE, Squid Game or the future of Binemon; if you are a true BinArmy, read this article with full attention,” Binemon tweeted out.

The article details the reaction centered around Skill Gems and the utility these bring plus how effectively they were distributed to the community for free. The Binemon team then mentioned how underappreciated Skill Gems created controversy around the redistribution for Binemon’s Season 19. The team decided to halt the emission of new Skill Gems altogether.
“Controversy has arisen, and some players, even in the Bronze & Silver ranks, complained that we are not being fair with the proposed Skill Gem distribution. Frankly, even Bronze and Silver players could not realize that exclusively receiving 8–16 Skill Gem Fragments per month will give them a chance of a guaranteed income,” Binemon said in its Medium post. “Therefore, we have listened to you and will consider permanently stopping distributing Skill Gems. Bronze and Silver players will continue to receive $BIN and $BNB rewards.”
The team also revealed their plans to eventually transfer focus from its PvP game feature to its Squid Game series, stating that the PvP aspect of the game “does not belong to the crowd.” These changes will come through a gradual reduction of PvP rewards and increased incentives towards Red Light Green Light Squid Game feature and the eventual rewards that come with the new game feature, Glass Bridge.

What is Binemon?
Binemon is a virtual pet non-fungible token (NFT) game on Binance Smart Chain, combining elements of an idle RPG game. Players can collect and trade eggs, ambrosia (fusion), characters, items and land. In addition, players are connected to fight in player-versus-environment (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) modes and receive cryptocurrency rewards. Designed in a comic-like style reminiscent of Pokemon, the game is set on Planet Earth with creatures called “Mons”, created by extraterrestrial creatures and now live on four different continents. These Mons are NFTs that players can collect and use to battle other players and their Mons. Players can also explore the infinite open-world landscape and collect Ambrosia (AMB), the in-game commodity that upgrades and empowers their mons.
