Binance US Goes to Downtown Portals
The Portals metaverse platform has declared a partnership with Binance US to collaborate with the Portals Downtown. The partnership signals a potential cross-chain initiative considering Portals runs on the Solana network, and Binance US is affiliated with the Binance name and thus Binance Smart Chain.
The partnership was announced on January 5 via Twitter with a tease that a reveal of the collaboration will be on the way. The downtown of the Portals metaverse promises to be a central public space where users can gather with their avatars to see partnership advertisements, metaverse experiences, games, and more.

The Portals downtown has already secured partnerships with other popular blockchain protocols like the music stream Dapp Audius and the RPCand backend powerhouse GenesysGo. The project is definitely one of the highlights to watch heading into 2022 on Solana.
The move is also a positive sign for Binance US and the Binance name to be expanding into cross-chain exposure. The move boosts the entire blockchain metaverse ecosystem as well as the Binance US name as a central exchange available to Solana users.
