According to public filing data reported by OpenSecrets, former Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) also began advising Binance in August. The same month, Binance.us also joined the Blockchain Association, a leading blockchain lobbyist organization in Washington.

Progress is on the horizon in Washington as a new bill has also been put forth in the US House of Representatives for digital token issuers to have safe harbor. The new hirings come as regulators in the federal government turn their attention toward policing the growing industry.
