Binance’s Seventh Irish Entity
Binance continues its expansion into Europe and the European Union (EU) proper by establishing a new subsidiary, Binance Global Sourcing, during October in Ireland.
The latest corporate development by the world’s largest crypto exchange does not take away from the company’s decision to make France its European hub. Moreover, the decision makes Binance Global Sourcing the seventh corporate entity connected to the company in Ireland. The unit lists Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) as a Director.
John Mulligan of the Irish Independent broke the news on Oct. 31, and he pointed out that Karl Long will be the “sole director of Binance Global Sourcing, with law firm Mason Hayes Curran acting as corporate secretary.”
“Mr Zhao remains a director of other Irish Binance units, with his residential address having been updated to reflect his new home in Dubai,” Mulligan continued.
Binance previously picked Paris, France to be the headquarters of its EU expansion. Binance completed “Digital Asset Service Provider” Registration in France in May.
Binance sees Europe as a necessary step toward global adoption for the crypto industry but has a long way to go to convince the likes of European regulators about the benefits of the industry. With such a difficult macro-economic environment – inflation is at near all-time highs in Europe – crypto is becoming a popular hedge for citizens against the shortcomings of central state management.
