Binance Hiring Spree in Middle East After Regulatory Acceptance

Binance is recruiting more than 100 positions as it prepares to help shape the virtual asset regulation space in Dubai.

Binance readies itself to be a major contributor to Dubai’s crypto regulatory space as it steps up hiring. The largest crypto exchange platform is recruiting more than 100 positions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as it moves to shape Dubai as an industry hub for virtual assets.

Binance announced in December, last year that it will establish an industry hub in Dubai. Binance signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA) to realize this vision. 

Richard Teng, the regional head for Binance MENA said that Binance is working closely with the Dubai government on a progressive regulatory framework and welcomes a similar approach from regulators worldwide.

Preparing for Operations

Binance recently listed job openings for its Middle East operation as it prepares to go operational. Changpeng Zhao, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Binance announced through his Twitter account on March, 17 that Binance has received its Dubai license to provide digital asset services.

Dubai will be an important hub for Binance as the crypto exchange platform expands its services in the Middle East. Binance has yet to identify itself with a jurisdiction as its base.

Dubai is fast establishing itself as one of the world’s leading crypto and innovation hubs. Crypto.com and Bybit, two major crypto exchanges are setting up their regional and global headquarters in Dubai.

Crypto exchanges have an important role to play. Digital assets are fast becoming mainstream and regulation is playing catch up as growth in this space has accelerated. Industry players such as Binance can be instrumental in combating concerns on money laundering and financing of terrorism.
