Binance and Cointelegraph Partner for a Charity NFT Campaign

The world of cryptocurrencies is changing lives, that’s a fact. Every day Blockchain projects get more intertwined with the real world, thus connecting more people to technology with cryptography. It’s no wonder why this entire ecosystem continues to grow. Cointelegraph recently announced a non-fungible (NFT) charity token auction in association with The Rotary Foundation and cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

Although few people may have heard of Rotary, few truly understand what Rotary clubs do. Rotary Club is a voluntary non-profit organization of entrepreneurs, united by the idea of public service aimed at improving society. All Rotarians have excellent business and professional reputations and are leaders in different fields of activity. Rotary’s ultimate mission is to improve global well-being, alleviate poverty, and aid education, along with the muse’s plan to teach 10 million young people around the world over the next 10 years.

Binance will showcase the celebrity-themed charity campaign on its new NFT Marketplace, with the goal of generating donations to support children’s financial education and training for doctors facing COVID-19 emergencies. The charity auction will feature a series of NFTs curated and designed by Cointelegraph and its exceptional artistic team, with the participation of athletes, musicians, entrepreneurs and bloggers from around the world. As part of the campaign, Cointelegraph’s team of artists will create digital portraits of celebrities eager to support Rotary’s charitable efforts in the NFT industry.

Rotary International fundraising officer Oksana Tjupa mentioned:

“The NFT project is new for us, but we hope for success in our joint project. The field of NFT art is very promising. We are confident that digital assets have entered our lives as a separate sector of the economy, and now charitable organizations need to learn to work with new formats to implement their charitable missions.”

Some of the notable crypto celebrities and personalities who have already signed up for NFT’s charity campaign include Ukrainian soccer coach Andriy Shevchenko, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor, billionaire investor Mike Novogratz, the founder of Yearn.finance Andre Cronje and 1inch Network. CEO and co-founder Sergej Kunz.

The campaign builds on Cointelegraph’s previous experiences in the NFT world. As we already know Binance launched its own NFT platform and marketplace on Thursday, allowing users to create and trade unique digital collectibles purchased online using blockchain technology.
