Binance African Blockchain Tour Kickstarts in Nigeria

Binance launched the BCAT program to encourage crypto adoption in Africa, the world’s second-largest continent.

BCAT Program Promotes Crypto Adoption

Binance announced its blockchain tour across Africa in June. The BCAT program was launched by the popular Centralized Exchange platform to promote crypto and blockchain adoption in the world’s second-largest continent, Africa.

Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Awareness Tour (BCAT) commenced in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria, taking center stage at the Amadeo Event Center, Enugu State, on June 4, 2022. The event went live at 9 AM UTC and ended at 2 PM UTC, featuring 11 speakers.

Some of the speakers include CEO and Co-founder at Xend Finance, Ugochukwu Aronu, Founder of Africa 2.0 Foundation, Manadou Kwidjim, and more. BSC News reached out to Xend Finance’s CEO, but we didn’t get any response.

BCAT focuses on educating individuals in the following areas: Blockchain and crypto, PlayToEarn (P2E), Non-fungible Tokens (NFT), SocialFi, Move2Earn, Metaverse, and career opportunities in crypto.

From Enugu, the awareness campaign will move to other South-Eastern parts of Nigeria, such as Imo, Anambra, Abia, and Ebonyi. Thus, Binance BCAT will cover five South Eastern states in Nigeria. After South Eastern Nigeria, Binance will move to other African countries like Ghana, Uganda, and Cameroon.

Binance Africa claims that the initiative has reached over 60,000 Africans since its inception in 2019. The latest event held at Enugu recorded over 5000 members.

“The @binance BCAT, South East edition, held in Enugu last weekend, and it was the bomb. We are glad we could be sponsors of an event that brings more awareness to the workings of blockchain and cryptocurrency,” Xend Finance tweeted about the event on June 6.

Binance’s BCAT exists to empower millions across the continent through cryptocurrency and blockchain education. Africa’s blockchain interest, particularly in South-Eastern Nigeria, will keep increasing after the considerable success in Enugu.
