The mother of the famous billionaire has teamed with the world’s first decentralized robot dog for NFT mystery boxes.
Maye Musk x Bakery Swap
BakerySwap has created mystery boxes that feature the Koda robot dog and Maye Musk. Following a successful launch on July 1st that saw 500 mystery NFT boxes sell out in just 3 minutes, BakerySwap has announced that another 500 boxes will be on sale on July 3rd at 5am UTC. One of the hottest automated market makers (AMM) of Binance Smart Chain keeps the fun rolling this week with another set of collectible boxes.
The Tech Couple
The Koda robot dog is the commercial product launched on the back of research from Boston Dynamics, the company which first entered the public consciousness following a string of impressive youtube videos demonstrating their robot technology. Koda has the option to be uploaded with data from the IPFS/Filecoin Network, making it the world’s first decentralized robot dog.
The Koda Dog is joined in the NFT set by Maye Musk, the mother of South African entrepreneur Elon Musk. Maye Musk was announced as the global brand ambassador for Koda in April, at which time she teased the release of the NFTs. On her Twitter account, Musk wrote, “Can’t wait for “Maye Musk & Koda NFT” listing on BSC!”
The NFT range has since been given the snappier title of “Diamonds Are Forever,” but the earlier tweet from Musk demonstrates that this latest BakerySwap NFT launch has been months in the making. It wasn’t until June, however, that it was clear on which platform they would launch.
The NFTs and Participation
The mystery box NFTs, which feature a picture of Maye Musk with a rotating Koda coin in the bottom left-hand corner, can be purchased with either $BUSD or $RACA. Each NFT mystery box is also programmed with its own “programmatically generated” serial number.
Radio Caca, BakerySwap’s partner on this NFT launch, explains: “You don’t know which number you can get. We don’t know either. That’s why we call them mystery boxes. Some numbers will be worth more in some cultures. That makes each box unique.”
Radio Caca is the official partner of Koda Inc. and works to create high-quality NFTs that render 3D images of the world. Three NFTs will also feature Musk in a silver dress with celestial graphics like Mars or the Moon spinning in the background. Given the huge demand on display previously for the “Diamonds Are Forever” NFT range, collectors and speculators will want to set the date in their diary for the second mystery box drop coming on July 3rd at 5am UTC.
