Baby Doge Coin celebrated a significant milestone in the Non-fungible Token (NFT) space. The memecoin protocol, which recently launched its NFT collection on the Ethereum network, hit $400,000 in donations from BabyDoge NFT sales.
When the memecoin on BNB Chain unveiled the collection of 10,000 unique Baby Doges to the public on April 22, the protocol declared its interest in raising more than $500,000 through NFT sales for charity. According to the BabyDoge NFT website, its mission is to fund dog rescue organizations. BSC News confirms that the mission is positive after BabyDoge tweeted on May 3 that the NFT collection had generated $400,000 in donations.
“Honored to announce our NFT Collection has generated $400,000 that we are donating to our charity partners! Amazing impact made by the community to help save dogs!” BabyDoge wrote.
The protocol’s huge community fuels BabyDoge NFT sales. The memecoin boasts of over 1.3 million Twitter followers and more than 1.5 Million holders of its native $BabyDoge token on BNB Chain, according to BscScan. Additionally, the protocol’s Ethereum fork has over 3.3K holders, based on data obtained from Etherscan. Its large-scale adoption also contributed to the rapid NFT public sale recorded on April 26, which BSC News reported.
The volume of BabyDoge NFTs traded on the OpenSea marketplace is now 663 ETH, up from 263 ETH on April 26, representing a massive interest in the NFT space. The protocol is close to achieving the donation cap disclosed on its official website, and the increasing NFT adoption is excellent for reaching the feat. With this in mind, BSC News expects donations from the NFT collection to cross the $500,000 mark shortly.
