Baby Doge Donates $20,000 to FurKids Animal Shelter at Georgia NASCAR Event

Elon musk’s favorite cryptocurrency is donating money to save dogs. Again. Let’s not forget the sexy NASCAR Xfinity sponsorship either!

Going Beyond the Meme

One of the hottest meme coins of Binance Smart Chain (BSC) is on a mission to make real-world change – one dog at a time.

Baby Doge this weekend will donate $20,000 to help save dogs, in an effort led by Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters and Brandon Brown Racing, of Charlotte NC.

The donation will be presented at 12:30 pm today (July 10), three hours before the Credit Karma 250, at Atlanta Motor Speedway Dog Park. NASCAR driver Brandon Brown will show the new Baby Doge sponsored car.

The event demonstrates a real world use-case for the Baby Doge token, said Baby Doge spokesperson Mike Watson.

“It’s essential,” Watson said. ”Being able to see the donation go towards saving dogs is our mission. That’s what our holders want and expect.”

Racing fans can also head to Legends Campground to watch dogs looking for a home play in the dog obstacle park, on Saturday. If you are a dog-lover, this is one attraction at the race that you will not want to miss.

Providing a Service In Need

FurKids is Georgia’s largest no-kill animal rescue shelter. The state has recently been coping with more homeless dogs than interested adopters. To combat this issue, the FurKids shelter launched a program in 2018 called TransFur.

The TransFur program transfers vulnerable dogs in need of adoption from high-kill shelters to Northern states where adoption demand is higher. The program has already rescued 3,000 dogs.

Baby Doge has stepped up to the challenge to meet the increasing demand for more vehicles in the Furkids fleet. The donation increases the utility of Baby Doge while providing a new Sprinter Van that will help Furkids transfer dogs to forever homes.

When asked about the origins of the partnership Watson stated “… it was a no brainer to bring them to Atlanta Motor Speedway’s new dog park and give them a donation that can help them save more dogs.”

He also went on to thank Tom Connly, who was instrumental in bringing the partnership to fruition.

Baby Doge stands out from other meme-tokens as it seeks positive real-world change. Recently, it donated $75,000 to the dog welfare non-profit PawsWithCause. The debut with NASCAR Xfinity should certainly increase the exposure of the coin.

Proud Driver Behind the Wheel

Brandon Brown is proud to partner with the brand-new cryptocurrency. In a press release on GOBankingRates he said that “since their beginning in June of 2021, [Baby Doge] have donated almost $100,000 to help save dogs and are considered the world’s first dog-charity cryptocurrency.”

Brown will drive his No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro completely covered in BabyDoge branding. He will also sport the Furkids logo and help out Furkids in other ways.

About Baby Doge
