Baby Doge keeps making big moves towards achieving its long-term goal of saving dogs.
Baby Doge Supports Charity Donation
The deflationary memecoin and Non-fungible Token (NFT) project on BNB Chain, Baby Doge Coin, took more than a baby step forward in its mission to help save dogs. The protocol supported the ASPCA National Animal Relocation Program, assisting the enterprise in recording its 200,000th dog flight.
The ASPCA Relocation Program was established in 2014 to save animals across the United States by relocating animals, including dogs, to areas where they can be adopted. Through Baby Doge’s partnership, the establishment made history by transporting dog number 200,000. The dog, nicknamed Bama, is now a popular name following the milestone. ASPCA thanked Baby Doge for its support through Bama’s adoption story on May 18.
“Baby Doge, a mission-founded cryptocurrency, sponsored the ASPCA Animal Relocation Program’s 200,000th milestone flight. Thanks to the BabyDoge Community, they are the ASPCA’s first brand partner to fund animal transport flights and has committed to sponsoring several during 2022,” the publication read.
The milestone is significant for Baby Doge. The memecoin becomes the first ASPCA brand partner to fund its initiative, as seen in the publication. Additionally, Bama got an owner almost immediately due to the milestone. The new dog owner, Marissa, confirmed that she adopted Bama after hearing about the record.
“When I heard he was such a special pup, I thought, this is my opportunity. I adopted him that day,” Marissa said.
Baby Doge remains dedicated to saving dogs. Last year, BSC News reported the protocol’s donation of $100,000 to save dogs in August. The contribution came after another incentivization worth $20,000 was made by the protocol in July 2021. All these, plus the latest—support for ASPCA—indicate the protocol’s plans to keep working, according to its mission.
