Governance Comes to ApeSwap
The decentralized exchange(DEX) ApeSwap has announced its three inaugural governance proposals. The three new governance proposals available for voting on July 17th include Banana Emissions Adjustment, Initial Ape Offering 007 Structure, and Tako BUIDL Graduation.
ApeSwap updated their community on the new governance voting options on July 15th via a Tweet. They are set to be open for voting July 17th, 16:00 UTC.
The voting options for Banana Emission Adjustment are as follows:

The voting options for Initial Ape Offering 007 Structure are as follows:

Option 2. Increased duration (1Hr to 12Hrs) + IAO tokens claimed will be vested for at least 3 months
The voting options for Tako BUIDL Graduation are as follows:
Option 1. Tako Graduates from ApeSwap’s BUIDL program
Option 2. Do Not Graduate Tako from BUIDL
How Voting on ApeSwap Works
Voting on ApeSwap is simple and straightforward. To have a vote, users must hold GNANA, ApeSwap’s native token. Each individual GNANA a user holds counts for a vote. If a user holds 20 GNANA, that same user has effectively 20 votes.
NOTE: GNANA tokens that are staked do not count when voting. GNANA tokens must be held in a wallet address when a user votes to be counted. It should also be noted that a vote will not pass if 4% or less of the circulating GNANA supply is not involved in the vote.
ApeSwap has two primary governance proposal types. The first is ApeSwap Core where updates are put forth by the ApeSwap dev team. The second proposal type is the ApeSwap Community, where token holders with 2,500 GNANA or more can put forward community proposals.
For active users of ApeSwap, voting is imperative, as shaping the direction and trajectory of the platform can be hugely important for old and new investors. Make sure you save the date and vote!
What is ApeSwap?
ApeSwap is a multi-purpose decentralized protocol that investors and users can use for yield farming and staking. The platform is built on the Binance Smart Chain and has been forked from PancakeSwap.
