ApeSwap developer says the DEX wants to expand “to services historically reserved for centralized exchanges.”
ApeSwap Launches Perpetual Futures
Days after the Stage 2 upgrade of its Decentralized Exchange (DEX) went live, ApeSwap is set to unveil another product to its community. The popular Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocol announced that its Pro trading feature, enabling the trading of perpetual futures on its platform, would be live in a few hours.
To bring its latest feature to its community, ApeSwap integrated the proprietary customizable DEX derivatives engine developed by ApolloX. The engine makes it possible for any blockchain protocol to incorporate derivatives trading on their platforms, supported from the backend by ApolloX’s trading infrastructure. As announced by ApeSwap via Twitter on July 26, users will be able to use the pro trading feature from 22:00 UTC on July 27.
Historically, ApeSwap has been one of the leading decentralized finance platforms on the BNB Chain. In a Medium post on July 22, ApeSwap said that making DeFi accessible to its users is one of its main priorities.
